Inspiration for Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
KORA RAE TO BORA BORA…
“The beauty I see in the world, I want to reflect in my clothes.”
Rachel Turzer, an avid traveler and animal lover, drew inspiration from her recent trip to Bora Bora - its natural beauty, sensuality and freedom. Pure silks, chiffons and crepes play together with supple lambskin and silk jersey. Intricate hand embroidery and beadwork is revived in a contemporary way to add wearable opulence. The beadwork was also the muse behind the unique design and motifs on the digitally printed silk fabrics.
This season’s palette was envisioned from the Bora Bora lagoon – an unimaginable riot of blues, and its myriad coral formations - brightly colored fish, emerald islets and more.
The collection not only captures the very essence, this elixir of natural beauty, but also transports the Kora Rae woman to this enchanted and exotic destination.
