Inspiration for Fall/Winter 2014 Collection
The Kora Rae Fall-Winter 2014 Collection takes you to Paris!
“I fell in love with the architecture, and vibe of the city.”
This collection juxtaposes sophisticated with edgy, delicate with hard. A more European aesthetic – sheer organza skirts are paired with a chunky knits or a wool blend turtleneck with a leather high-waist skirt. Some other styles in the collection are motorcycle jackets, pencil skirts, high waist trousers along with wrap gowns, lace skirts and more.
The season’s colors are all midnight-in-Paris inspired – a royal dark amethyst, a deep oxblood, delicate nudes and blush, black, ivory, taupe, among others. Inspired by the Notre dame cathedral and its windows in particular, intricate embroideries were exclusively developed to dazzle and mesmerize. The final products are what Kora Rae is all about – wearable art.
The brand’s namesake, Kora – the tiger, makes her debut in an iconic way! A local NYC artist made a watercolor portrait in the season’s colors that capture the intensity of this magnificent animal which was digitally printed on organza and jersey!
Paris, je t'aime!
